Our island home was under Viking rule for well over 600 years. To this day, many of their myths and superstitions have endured, like the act of wrapping ourselves in bearskins before a battle  (metaphorically speaking, of course). This single malt is a tribute to the resilience and strength of our warrior forebears.

Created using a higher proportion of our Orkney peated malt, this single malt came of age in a combination of first-fill sherry seasoned European oak, American oak and refill casks.

As layers of soft berry fruits rub up against swirls of dark chocolate, silky vanilla, and orange zest, red hot glowing peat bricks galvanise the whisky with an unforgettable smoulder of rich peat smoke.
